Linear Reciprocating Tribometer (LRT)

Linear Reciprocating Tribometer (LRT) is used to study the friction, wear and lubrication characteristics of bulk, thin films, coatings and liquid lubricants. Spherical ball will be sliding (reciprocating; ASTM G133) over the specimens with the applied load, sliding speed and stroke length will be varied depending on the experimental needs. The friction force will be measured using the Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) sensor, and the temperature can be controlled from RT - 400 °C.
